Hello, in my newer desktop dont have serial port, so I added seperate PCI addon card (serial port), but still it is not supporting my foot pedal, so please give me solution for this plz
The first thing you need to look at is other serial port devices. Do they work on this? Like a printer using a serial port?
Did you follow the instructions? Most PCI add on's want you to install the software, then install the hardware.
You can go into the device manager and see if the hardware is installed correctly. Right click on my computer, go to properties, device manager then find the PCI card you installed.
If it has a yellow exclamation mark the drivers are not installed correctly, a red X means it is disabled.
You can right click on the device if it has a red x and enable it, if it has a yellow exclamation mark you can update the driver and point the wizard toward your driver disc. You can also uninstall the drivers and reinstall them from there. This can also work if enabling does not fix the device.
