I'm an idiot and left chocolate chips in the space where the computer hinges shut, the black space above the power and wireless buttons (see picture link below). Anyway they started to melt, and I got most of it off as it was in a sortof harmless place (no open holes on the black part), but some of the chocolate got into the tiny tiny speaker holes.
Now my computer won't start, plugged in or not. I left it on for a few hours after getting the chocolate off... and I won't be able to make it to an IT tech guy til tomorrow, but what do ya'll think? Is the power problem related to the chocolate in the little holes, like it melted down?
They're the size of the space between ||. How can I get the chocolate out?

FYI the speaker holes are all around the power/wireless buttons, that entire stretch across the keyboard.

You may have a short circuit. If you are comfortable doing this then go ahead:
Turn off the laptop completely, remove the battery and the plug. At either side of the Laptop at the top look at the top row of keys on the keyboard, the ¬ and backspace keys next to them the top section of the laptop where all the wireless buttons are should be separated from the rest of the laptop. If you place your finger nails in the gap you can pop it off and you will be able to clean underneath it.
This guide below is a different laptop but it is the same basic principle all laptops are the same. Just remove the top band:

DON'T do step 6 if you aren't comfortable with doing so, simply being able to move the strip should be enough for you to be able to see and clean underneath it.
Setting it together again is straight forward just pop it back together.
