Omg, You are lucky I am here. Don't listen to the guy who said brand does not matter. Brand names DO matter very much. The off brands are cheap for a reason. By the way the Corsair is a very good brand. A cheap power supply will not deliver a steady voltage. It will fluctuate and can cause system instability and crashes. It is the most important component along with the motherboard. The 20+ 4 pin just means it will work on older or newer motherboards. If your motherboard uses a 20 pin connector then you just don't use the 4 pin connector that is with it. If you have a 24 pin connector on your motherboard. All you do is put the bigger connector and the smaller 4 pin connectors together and plug them in as one. If you don't have a big video card then you dont need a 650 watt. The 400 watt ones will work. Check the video cards power requirements and get a little bigger than the minimum required. Oh yeah one more thing the one in your computer is not all that great.
These are not in a particular order they are all very good power supply's Stay away from brands like rosewill ,apeva. kingwin and a lot of others. If you just stick with the brands I just listed you will be fine. And read the reviews. I build high end gaming systems. One more thing. I know for a fact, there have been people who have fried every major component in their system from a bad power supply
