can anybody recommend a good quiet power supply?
i've brought a few over the years by looking at what it says on the box which just don't seem to be as quiet as they say.
so as users which one would you recommend?
i'm looking for one around 450-500 watts? thanks
It appears that it is a much of a muchness! I afraid some are noisier than others. Mass production and all that, and you only have to have the fan slightly out of balance to make it noisy!
Same with drives. I had a hard drive that used to rumble away quite contentedly. Nothing wrong with it and worked OK. The one I've got now you can't even hear!
Personally I think it's a bit of a luck of the draw when it comes out of the box!
