We have a Lenovo Ideapad Y530. The computer will show that it is about to turn on when we press the button, but nothing shows up on the monitor. It is plugged in, and there is nothing else plugged into the laptop. The laptop was last used last night, when I put it on hibernation, then due to impending thunderstorms, I was told to unplug the wall charger from the computer. The second I unplugged it from the computer (I did not unplug the surge protector with the charger in it, I only took the jack out of the computer), the computer shut off completely, even though it was fully charged. Now, again, it turns on, but nothing shows up, after it has been sitting like so for a long while. The battery is out, because sometimes the fan gets too hot, but we aren't sure if it's the problem. HELP?
Three R's for a problem like this.
The best things to do are to either get it replaced with a new laptop(trade it in), Get a refund on it(if it is under warranty), or send it away to get it repaired, most likely to the company of Lenovo, or your local computer shop.
