Im interested in buying a new MAC PRO but the prices for a new machine are a bit to high for my budget. Therefore I have been looking into buying a USED MAC PRO.

I would expect the Nehalem based processor to run faster especially on heavily mult-threaded apps and more efficiently at part load and idle (w/ demand based switching). W3530 can simultaneously handle 8 threads, supports triple channel memory, has large L3 cache and runs on a faster "bus" or QPI.
But the dual Xeon 5160 should still be a decent performer for a power user.
