My mb is MSI KT4V with AMD athlon 1800.My bios is AMI.
there is no option for a sata hard disk so i brought the sata pci cotroller card.In post it shows the raid in my pci slot but cant detect my hard disk. It is a Segate 7200 rpm 160 gb hard disk.My sata pci controller card come with a driver cd but i cant install its driver in dos mode. and i think its for the windows version.
How can i install the single sata drive in my comp.

You say that you can't install its driver in DOS mode. It *sounds* like you are still using DOS, and only a Windows driver was included with the board. If this is the case, it's no surprise - DOS is for all practical purposes not supported anymore by anyone.
If you are having trouble installing the drivers and they are Windows drivers, maybe you can try this:
1) Control Panel
2) Printers and Other Hardware
3) On the left you should see "Add Hardware". Click here.
4) The object is to direct the "add hardware" program to install a device driver from the driver CD. Go through the program until you come to a point where you can select which drives to search for a driver and make certain it searches the CD drive for device drivers. May sure to select "search subdirectories" if that option is available.
You may have to restart the system before it will operate correctly.
You *should* have to format the hard drive before it operates correctly. There may be special formatting software on the CD that came with the adapter. If not, use Windows Explorer to format the drive before you use it.
