mac/ final cut pro help?
im considering getting an old powermac (g3/g4) and an older version of FCP to run on it. (cant afford the new ones so please dont suggest this)
but im new to macs so i have no idea how much memory, ram etc i would need etc when looking to get a secondhand powermac. any advice would be great
First of all I would look at how much you have to spend all in all including FCP and the mac ? Then compare that with what it would cost to say get a mac mini or an iMac with FCP ?
I mean even if you buy a new mac ie imac or mac mini you could probably get FCP off of ebay.
For final cut pro I would at least suggest 1gb of ram and if you are going with a G5 then a dual core G5 and a fast hard drive 7200 RPM or 10,000 RPM.
