I think its the most beautiful peace of computer equipment I've ever seen. I would buy a used one but they are obviously too slow for todays standards. I just love the way they look and the simplicity of the floating point screen, my friend used to have one and it was gorgueas. I think the iMac is a perfect example of how companies think they need to change the design every few years to supposedly keep the consumer happy, I remember I was horrified when they came out with the iMac G5's, it was so ugly in comparison, if it ain't broken don't fix it! The aluminum ones were an improvement but are no longer elegant with simplicity, they almost have that "techie" look, and the glossy reflecting screen is an issue of its own! I really really wish they would bring back the imac g4's design, with upgraded hardware and everything, i would buy the most expensive model in a heartbeat! I'm typing on a (sigh) imac core 2 duo right now.
Apple is a forward thinking company. They made the mistake once to go back to a previous look when they made the "Mac Classic". I doubt they will make that mistake again.
