I thought that maybe some types of ports that aren't serial, parallel, or USB that are still used today could be PS/2, PCI, ATA ports, IEEE ports, or the monitor port. However, I'm not for sure if these are types of serial or parallel ports. Serious answers only please.
serial and parallel port are rarely seen today, they are legacy ports.

There is the e-sata (external sata) port which is currently the fastest port and 3 or 6 times faster then usb. It is mainly used for external hard drives.
There is a expresscard slot, which is used for expansion slot for laptops.
Inside the computer there are also pci-express x1, x4, and x16 (video cards).
There is also a game port, which is a serial port made for games, but they ended the support of that port when xp came out, as game controllers all use usb now.
