i took off all the thermal paste on my cpu and the fan went really loud i reapplyed new paste,it still is loud
i reapplyed thermal paste
i used artic silver 5 thermal paste
and it still is loud.
it gets loud when i play video games like world of warcraft
its a stock dell fan maybe 2 years old
im just gunna go buy a new ultra quite fan from a computer store tomorrow
Those fans don't last long anyways, it's a Dell. If you reapplied the thermal paste, it's just doing what it should do when there is a big load on your cpu. Your cpu is taxing your system and making the fan work harder when gaming.
