My SONY Vaio PCV/W1's CD has stopped working?
I have a SONY PC ( Vaio PCV/W1G) and it seems that after installing Microsoft SP2, the CD/DVD dirve has stoped working.
I have uninstalled and re-installed the driver for the CD, as well as getting the latest driver software compatible with SP2. from the SONY website. But it still does not work.
If I put a CD/DVD in the drive, the cursor (arrow) flases a couple of times, but nothing happens. If I use explorer it shows the drive, but does not show the contents.
What else can I try, appart from getting a very expensive engineer to have a look at it, and tell me he/she can't fix it?
