How can I connect my microphone port on my cell phone to my computer, to record audio off my sound card?
I want to create a ringtone, but the only way i can do it is if i make a voice memo.. So i want to connect my laptop to my computer, and record the music directly to my phone through the microphone port.
im not 100% sure, but you might be able to use a 1/8 inch male to male audio cable, like this one: http://www.cablesondemand.com/product/AV-AUDPRSTMM0/URvars/Items/Library/InfoManage/AV-AUDPRSTMM0.htm
and if your phone uses a different size mic port then use the appropriate adapter (ex: http://www.audioadaptor.com/Audio-Adaptors-Miniplug.html)
then connect one end to your computers audio out (should say line out or headphones, or have a symbol for headphones) and one end to your phone. then play the music as normal, and record.
