He needs the card to use microphone/head set and his pc is chinese (manufactured in china). So if I just get those sound adaptors from ebay, would that be compatible? Or should I buy those onboard cards instead?

the main thing is not I don't know how to install internal soundcard or w/e. I just wanna know if the external one or internal one will work for every single pc on the planet (is the usb external sound adaptor an external sound card?). And I'm getting the cheapest one because it's used for pc-pc talk.
Go to Wal-Mart and get a PCI internal sound card. Unplug the computer, remove the cover, GROUND yourself to the computer case, the PCI slots are at the bottom left side of the motherboard. There are "knockouts" in the back of the computer case, select an empty PCI socket and remove the metal "knockout" that is parallel to it so the back end of the sound card can protrude through the rear of the computer case. Take the card out of the static proof bag, don't touch the gold contacts! Seat the card into the slot firmly and attach with the provided screw. Follow the setup instructions for the software driver installation. Some require you to load the drivers on the computer before installing the hardware.
