Trying out Sony Acid Pro 6. Is there a way to record vocal from a mic?
I'd like to use the mic that is hooked up to my comp (not a USB, it's a mic with an adapter to go into the mic hookup beside the headphone & speakers on a PC) to input vocal but, I can't figure out how to do that. Can that be done with Acid? If not, what would be a better piece of software for the job? Thanks for any help!
Yes it can. Make sure the mike is "turned on" in the computer. Open volume controls, then properties, then select recording. This is how you adjust the recording level if you don't have a mixer or a pre amp.
It might not have enough gain though. I use a pre amp before it goes into the computer.
