help? i've put too much thermal paste in between the processor and heatsink?
i covered the smaller processors too, i used the whole tube of paste.
will there be anything wrong?
You should only have a thin layer of paste 0.2 mm thick between the processor and the heat sink. If there is too much the heat will not transfer and radiate away fron the heat sink and the processor will over heat.
Wipe it all off and apply a thin coat the thickness of two pieces of paper, (If necessare use a paper template on the heat sink and fill the gap with paste and wipe over with something stiff, all excess paste will be removed leaving a thin layer in the shape of the processor).
Use too much paste and the processor will overheat and stop or worse burn out!
