Hey. Yesterday my Dell Studio 15 slid off my desk while i wasn't in the room. There is no visible damage to the PC (or the floor, so it couldnt of hit too hard) except for a scratch on the back. Also, the screen seems a bit looser (not the hinge, the cover for the screen) and the casing at the front covering the frame of it clicked off a bit at the top (popped it back into place, and it hasnt moved since) but the webcam is still working fine since i popped it back in. Half of my wallpaper and all my icons disappeared when i exited the game i was playing at the time (Garry's Mod) but returned when i restarted. I was playing on a server with only one other person who was afk anyway, and i was myself so there wasn't much going on and the HDD or disc drive probably werent spinning. Performance still remains the same. Are there any more tests i should run and should i continue worrying about this or not?
Yes. Watch for the slightest sign of a disk error, quite possibly it will have been damaged. If you see any consider replacing it before it dies and loses all your data.
