Vista Mac Ibm

IBM X61 Tablet or Macbook pro - anyone familiar with Macbook?
I'm planning to get a new laptop. now I'm confusing which one i should choose - thinkpad X61T or the popular 13" Macbook pro.
1. The problem is I'm used to using Windows XP or Vista - so I know nearly nothing about Mac OS X system - is it complex to repair and is it easy to adapt?
2. I've heard there are many relevant software, such as iChat or something, they are new to me as well, and I even have no idea if I really need it.
3. And if I purchace macbook pro in Apple stoce, do I need to install Micosoft Office, Anti-Virus software or something by myself? do they have any specific anti-virus software for macbook?
the switch to a mac is very easy. i adapted my first day. apple has classes at their stores and there are tutorials at http://apple.com
the mac uses a different operating system and so there are no - and i mean NO viruses for the mac. as for microsoft office, you would need to purchase it for the mac.
and if you do get a mac. look up Boot Camp online. it comes with all macs. i wont go into detail but it lets you run windows and mac os x on the same computer. it pretty much virtually splits the hard drive in two. windows on one half mac os x on the other. this may sound very confusing for i don't know how much you know about computers.
i say to buy a mac. then just bring it to a computer store and ask them to dual boot your hard drive using boot camp. all of this can cost an upwards of 2000$. if your on budget just buy a mac. thats it.
