Power supply fan doesnt shut off?
Okay just put in new 500 watt power supply and video card in my computer and it runs great until I shut off computer. The actual computer shuts off but the power supply fan stays on? Is it cooling itself down? I have let it do that for over a half hour and it still doesnt shut off by itself. But like I said the computer runs fine. I just have to manually shut off switch to power supply in back when finished. If this is normal please let me know and thanks! =)
Check your bios setting in power management and see what the settings are, the fan might be set to stay on for 30 minutes to make sure that the power core is completely cooled down so it doesnt wear and tear down to quickly. If that doesnt work then contact the manufacturer of the ps and see if they have any suggestions
