Am I missing someting or is this actually a very good laptop? I'll be using it for work, playing occasionally, stuff like that
I can reccomend Acers and tell you that Gateway is now partnered with them (and yet my husband's computer is a gateway and mine is an Acer and mine tends to do better than his on most occasions). The set-up looks very nice. Fair warning.. if it has a bluetooth button this does not necessarily mean that it also has bluetooth, simply that you may buy a bluetooth dongle or have an internal bluetooth installed on it. Also, if you plan on a lot of entertainment, check prices against something that already has a tv tuner installed as, in my opinion, there is generally more of a cost for aftermarket.
Other than that the set-up looks very nice. I have an Acer 6930 With Intel Dual core 2 (2.0Ghz and 2mb cache) 4GB DDR2 1695 Graphics, 802.11b/g/ Draft-n and 16" cinecrystal disply and it is over a year old - I bought it brand new for $700) with no signs of slowing down at ALL (it is extremely fast and easily overclocked without problems). I would say go for it.. you will definately enjoy it.
Oh and.. it should come with Acer Erecovery or some other similar back-up that will allow (this is standard on all acers) that will allow you to burn a back-up of EVERYTHING to restore it just the way it was on the day you bought it. It is a very awesome program that will help you if you ever encounter problems.. become familiar with it and it will treat you right.
