How would this Dell laptop handle my needs (Dell Vostro 1400)?
I'm looking at a Dell laptop right now ($374 CAD before taxes) witht he following specs.
Dell Vostro 1400
Intel® Celeron M® M550
2GB of Ram
160G 5400RPM SATA Hard Drive
14.1 inch Wide Screen XGA LCD Display with TrueLife™
Windows XP Home
I will be going to university this September and will need a laptop. How will it handle running multiple apps at once? I'm a little concerned about the Celery. However, the most I will push this laptop will be running Office 2007, Firefox, and MSN at once.
I'm just concerned about the lag when "multitasking". I like things to run smoothly.
P.S. I was also looking at the Dell Vostro 1310 with the T5670 for a extra $200. However, if I'm not gonna see too big of a performance increase for my use, I would rather get the 1400.
Yes, it should be able to handle the mentioned application all at once. Should have any problems.
All the best.
