Dell's new XPS 710 now comes with the option of quad-core processors and graphics cards. It sounds like an incredible deal however I own a dual core computer and a rather high end pci express graphics card and have frequent troubles with the temperature in the computer. I have two 120mm fans and have water cooled about half of the computer and it helped a great deal. Dell does not offer water cooling and I'm afraid that the ultra- high end hardware that it offers is way too hot for mere air cooling.
The one thing that I have seen with dell computers is that they have great case design when it comes to cooling. I would say that what ever they put out is going to accommodate the hardware that they have inside the box. You can have tons of fans and heat sinks but if the circulation of air is hindered due to cables being in the way or no ducts to direct the air (the Dell cases that I have seen have had ducts to guide the air over parts that will generate a lot of heat) then all of the cooling hardware will be useless.
Yeah, I think the XPS brand is going to have the heat problem under control.
